Measuring Procedure
• Place spectro-color
®
in perpendicular
position to the sample.
• Press the measure key to trigger
measurement. Do not move spectro-color ®
as long as the display shows a clock.
• Measuring is signalled by a measuring start
and end beep.
• The display shows the values in the
selected colour system.
• Press key DIM to switch the next colour system.
C3 Difference Measurement
Colour difference measurement determines the quantitative colour difference between a
reference and a sample in the three-dimensional colour space (CIE-L*a*b* or Hunter-Lab).
For this purpose, the colour difference is split up into lightness difference
ΔL*, red-green
difference
Δa* and yellow-blue difference Δb*. The overall spacial colour distance between
reference and sample is identified as
ΔE*.
Preparing the measurement
• Turn
spectro-color ® on.
• Select your colour space (see B3.2).
• Press
key
ΔC for colour difference
measurement. The display reads:
If you have managed the internal memory for
reference colours with the PC-software
spectral-QC. The display reads:
The memory values can be loaded directly
by scanning the code with the barcode
reader. In this case the corresponding
reference name is displayed with the
reference values.
• To load a reference value from the memory
without the barcode reader, press key MEM
• The next measurement stores the colour
values of the reference.
