Service and Maintenance

Even a perfected product like spectro-color

®

requires careful handling and a little regular

maintenance.

To clean the housing, use a dry cloth or a mild household cleaner. Do never use solvents like

e.g. naphta, acetone or the like.

The optical parts should only be cleaned by our service personnel. No further maintenance is

required from you.

D4.1 Standard

maintenance

Poor measuring accuracy or reproducibility are often due to improper handling of the working

standards. As colour is a surface quality, utmost cleanliness is of vital importance. Even

slight irregularities undetected by the naked eye may cause mismeasurements (nicotine,

dust, fingerprints, scratches). Standards are possible to clean, but with utmost care not the

damage them.

To clean the standards, wipe the surface with a glass cleaning agent and perhaps rub it dry

carefully with a soft tissue.

ATTENTION:

Do not touch the surface with your fingers when cleaning the standard.

The calibration values of the standards remain valid for two years. After this term changes

may occur.

Standard LZM 268 is furnished with a quality certificate in compliance with DIN 55350 part

18, 4.1.2.

D4.2

Input of standard number and calibration values

Attention: The calibration value was input at works. Recalibration is only required

when the white standard is changed!
