C3.2

Pass/Fail Difference Measurement

The pass/fail program is designed for routine analyses of test elements. The instrument

monitors a given maximum colour tolerance without reading the display after each

measurement but just signals deviations outside the tolerance with a double-beep.

Preparing the measurement
• Turn spectro-color

®

and calibrate, if

necessary (see chapter C1).

• Select Pass/Fail- colour system (see

chapter B3.2).

• Press

the

ΔC key for colour difference

measurement. You will see this display

next:

• To measure a reference value, place

spectro-color

®

on the reference and press

the measure button.

• To load a reference from the memory, press the MEM key (see chapter C3.1).

Pass/Fail-Measuring procedure
• Place

spectro-color

®

on the sample.

• Press the measure button.
• Start of measurement is signalled with a

beep, end of measurement with two beeps.

• After the measurement, the result of the

pass/fail-measurement is displayed.

C3.3

Pass/Fail tolerance setting

In order to use the pass/fail option, it is necessary to set limit values. To do so, select item

[settings] in the main configuration menu and then item [pass/fail tolerance]. You will see the

following menu:

The

ΔE*-limit is shown in inverse display. Set

the desired

ΔE*-limit using the × or Ø keys

and confirm with ok . The cursor skips to the

first place after decimal point. The settings of

all other limit values are analogue.

Confirm the settings with ok .
