A1 Concise Operating Instructions
To turn spectro-color ® on and off, press the flush button on the top of the instrument. The
warning „Instrument not calibrated for 24
hours!“ appears after 24 hours without cali-
bration at the latest. Press the centre black key
yes to call the calibration function directly. If
you do not wish to calibrate, because e.g. the
calibration standard is not available, you can
also measure without previous calibration.
Calibration against standard
• Press key Ø in the main menu to switch
to the configuration menu.
• Select [Calibration] by pressing the ok
key.
• Measure with spectro-color ®
the black
calibration standard.
• Measure with spectro-color ®
the white
calibration standard.
Colour measurement:
• Press key C .
• The display reads: : C D65/10/SPIN .
• Place spectro-color
® in perpendicular
position to the sample and trigger the
measurement with the measure key.
• After the measurement the display shows
the colour values in L*a*b*-system
Difference Measurement:
• Press key ΔC .
• Place spectro-color
® in perpendicular
position to the reference sample and trigger
the measure by the measure key.
• Display of colour values; L*, a*, b*
• Place spectro-color
®
in perpendicular
position to the sample and trigger the
measure by the measure key.
• Display of colour difference values; default
setting: dE*, dL*, da*, db*
