English 106

Light impurities can be removed with warm water; heavy impurities
should be cleaned with diluted hydrochloric acid.

Drain tray moisture sensor

The drain tray is designed so that it drains any outflowing fluids
immediately to the moisture sensor, which is located in the rear-left
corner of the drain tray. As soon as the two electrodes of the moisture
sensor register a strongly increased conductivity, the measurement
operation is switched off for safety reasons.

Figure 12 Stirrer vessel

It will only start again after the error (leak at hoses, stirrer vessel etc.) is
rectified, the electrodes are dry again and the error is acknowledged in
the [STATUS] menu. The chemicals in the collection tray can be picked
up with soft blotting paper.

Dosing hoses and valve hoses

All dosing and valve hoses for one assembly are in the annual wear part
set and must be clearly distinguished by unlosable, colored marks.

Dosing hoses

The hoses referred to as dosing hoses are those routed via the dosing
pumps. The dosing hoses may only be placed on the respective dosing
pump intended for them. After three months, the sample dosing and
drain hose must be exchanged and the pump rollers coated with silicone
paste. For the reagent dosing hoses (A and B), this is only required
every six months.

Connection hoses

The connection hoses can be very easily installed and removed through
the use of quick connectors. During a connection hose change, which
occurs annually, the quick connectors are therefore used for the new
connection hoses.

Valve hoses

To guarantee the elasticity of the silicone valve hoses, which are almost
continuously pressed together, an exchange is required after three
months. The valve hoses are only laid in the slots of the pinch valves,
and can be installed and removed at the sample valve directly at the
other valves by lightly pressing in the plastic valve heads.

Hose pinch valves

The hose pinch valves switch as required between sample, null,
standard or cleaning solution on the left-hand one-channel dosing pump.
In the two-channel version, a further valve decides on the feed of
sample 1 or 2.
As the valves do not come directly into contact with reagent, cleaning
and servicing work is omitted here.

N O T I C E

The hydrochloric acid may under no circumstances come into contact with the
reagents A and B (precipitation)!
The stirrer vessel must thus be removed and, after cleaning, be thoroughly pur-
ged with water! Observe the safety notes!

Please observe the safety notes when reagents (

) are in the drain tray!

N O T I C E

For all work on dosing hoses, the hoses must always be pulled out of the
respective canisters as the first action and inserted again as the last action!
