8 .7 Instromet Ultrasonic protocol
The Elster/Instromet Q-sonic ultrasonic gas meter can be set to two protocols:
Instromet protocol The original protocol specifically designed by Instromet for the
Q-sonic
Modbus protocol The most common protocol, developed later
The SUMMIT 8800 supports both protocols.
To use the Instromet protocol, go to hardware, select a serial port and choose Instromet ultra-
sonic:
