Volume Migration Errors

When you perform a volume migration by using RAID Manager, note the following:

A reserved volume of XP Auto LUN cannot be used when you perform a volume migration by
using RAID Manager.

A migration plan being executed by XP Auto LUN cannot be canceled from RAID Manager.

A migration plan created by XP Auto LUN cannot be displayed by using RAID Manager.

Before checking RAID Manager settings in a Remote Web Console window, you must select
File, and then Refresh All on the menu bar of the Remote Web Console main window.

Migration cannot be performed when either of the specified volumes is a LUSE volume.

When the microcode is being upgraded or downgraded, do not perform any operations that
are not supported by the changed microcode.

If you delete a manual migration plan of XP Auto LUN, the volume status changes from SMPL(PD)
to SMPL. You can check the volume status by viewing the list at the bottom of the Manual Plan
window and confirming whether the manual migration plan exists.

Although you can check the volume status by using the pairdisplay command of RAID
Manager, this command does not enable you to distinguish between SMPL and SMPL(PD).

After you delete a manual migration plan of XP Auto LUN, to execute a command to perform
tasks such as volume migration or event waiting, wait for a certain period of time (recommended
time is 10 seconds) until the volume status changes from SMPL(PD) to SMPL. If you do not wait,
the command might end abnormally.

When you try a volume migration or migration cancellation by using RAID Manager,
EX_CMDRJE might be displayed and the command might be refused depending on the condition
in the DKC.

Table 17 (page 70)

shows the error codes, causes of errors, and corrective

measures.
