2.

In the tree, double-click the HDD class folder.

The list to the right displays a list of parity groups in the HDD class. The

parity group and select Fixed PG from the menu. The selected parity

group is indicated by the

icon and becomes fixed.

NOTE:

When you perform a manual migration, you can specify volumes in the fixed parity

groups as the source or target volumes.

TIP:

To enable volumes in a fixed parity group to be moved to another parity group, you must

change the fixed parity group to a normal parity group. To do this, right-click the fixed parity group

(indicated by the

icon), and then select Normal PG from the menu.

Changing the Maximum Disk Usage Rate for Each HDD Class

rate.

To change the limit on disk usage rate for an HDD class:

1.

Start XP Auto LUN and click the Attribute tab in the XP Auto LUN window.

2.

In the tree, right-click an HDD class folder, and then select Change Class Threshold from the
menu.

The Change Threshold window is displayed.

3.

From the Threshold list, select the value that you want to use as the limit, and then click OK.

In the tree, the selected value appears to the right of the specified class.

4.

Click the Apply button in the Attribute window.

The specified limit is applied to the storage system.
