Starting Initial Replication for SLD Remote Copy: Copying Data Directly
from Primary Volume Groups
Follow these steps to start initial replication:
1.
To start replication from the primary volume group to the secondary volume groups on SystemB
and SystemC, issue the following command from the primary system (SystemA):
# startrcopygroup <group_name>
where <group_name> represents the name of the primary volume group (testgroup).
The startrcopygroup command, when run on a group for the first time:
•
Is mirrored from the primary system to the backup systems (from SystemA to SystemB
and SystemC)
•
Begins copying the existing data from the primary volume group (testgroup) to its
associated secondary volume groups (testgroup.r96) on both backup systems
2. To verify the groups are synchronized, issue the showrcopy groups command on all three
systems:
# showrcopy groups
