3.1 Upgrading to Recovery Manager for Exchange

This section provides instructions for upgrading to Recovery Manager for Exchange from

version 2.2.4 through 3.0.2 to version 4.1.0.

3.1.1 Production Server

Backup the repository to a safe location, i.e. the folder Exchange\Repository and all

directories and files under it.

Move the Repository folder from the old \vcdba\Exchange\Repository to the new

\RM\Exchange\Repository

location.

Check to see that the old virtual copies can be seen from the Graphical User Interface (GUI)

and re-register the Mailbox Server(s) if necessary.

NOTE: In Recovery Manager for Exchange, version 3.0.2, the installation directory

has changed from \Program Files\3PAR\vcdba\Exchange to \Program

Files\3PAR\RM\Exchange

.

To migrate from version 2.2.4 to 3.0.2 or 4.1.0, deinstall RME, install RME3.0.2 or

4.1.0, and move the Repository folder from the old

\vcdba\Exchange\Repository

to the new \RM\Exchange\Repository location.
