6.15 Event Messages

If an error message is generated by Recovery Manager for Exchange while you are attempting

to perform a particular operation, you can access a description of the event and possible

remedies from the Help menu tab.

To open the event message document, select any tree node item under the root node in the

node tree pane and click Help > Event Messages.

Once selected, the event messages will be displayed through the default browser.

6.16 Analyzing the Repository

To analyze the repository for a particular Mailbox Database:

In the Virtual Copy node tree, right-click the name of the Mailbox Database youwish to

analyze and then select Analyze.

Result: The Analyze Virtual Copy dialog box appears.

Select the Sync checkbox to sync the repository and the InServ.

Click OK.

Virtual Copy Status

Description

Available

A virtual copy has this status when it exists in InServ Storage

Server and in the Recovery Manager repository, and it is

currently not mounted to a host.

Mounted

A virtual copy has this status when it is mounted to a host.

The virtual copy exists in both InServ Storage Server and the

Recovery Manager repository.
