2. Choose a mounting position for the overflow tank. Be sure that there is enough room to connect a hose(s) to the bottom
of the tank without interference from any other components. It is recomended to use the side tank of your Flex-a-fit
radiator to mount the overflow tank. (If room is not available, there is a small parts kit for remote mounting.)
3. Slide the T-studs into the rail of the radiator tank. (see detail 1)

4. Place the bracket onto the T-studs and tighten the bracket into place with the lock
nuts provided in the kit. (see detail 2)
5. Position the tank on the bracket as shown in detail 3 and fasten together with the
small bolts and lock washers from the small parts
bag included with the kit. (see detail 3)

6. As soon as the tank is mounted securely to the
bracket, you can loosen the lock nuts of the T-studs
just enough to slide the tank up and down the side
tank to locate in the desired position. Note: for
maximum capacity of the overflow tank, mount the

tank so as NOT to be above the top of the radiator.
(see detail 4)
7. Connect 1/4” coolant hose from the radiator to the
overflow tank using the SHORT metal tube on the

bottom of the overflow tank. Be careful not to plug
the LONG metal tube. This is used as an air vent to

the tank. Secure the hose in place so as not to
diconnect during use.

Note: This kit does NOT include 1/4” hose or hose clamps necessary to complete the
installation. Hose can also be connected to the long vent tube of the overflow tank to
direct coolant away from the engine compartment in case of a “boil-over”.
