Power Supply Removal and
Installation

1.

At your system power distribution, turn off the power to the wind
sensor.

2.

Remove the protective cover over the AC input terminal block.

3.

Disconnect the five power wires from the terminal block. Then
disconnect the two fiber optic cables.

4.

Disconnect the 12 wires of the sensor interface cable from the
terminal block.

5.

Loosen the two conduit nuts and pull the two conduits out of the
power supply bottom. Also remove the grounding wire from the
ground stud. Make sure not to pull the fiber optic cables.

6.

Remove the power supply with its mounting plate from the tower
by removing the top screws and loosening the two bottom screws.

.

CAUTION

Installation requires power supply with correct primary wiring
depending on mains voltage used (WS425PowerUS for 115VAC/
60Hz and WS425PowerEU for 240VAC/50Hz)

WARNING

To make absolutely sure that the power is turned off, open the power
supply door and measure the AC voltage between the black wire and
each of the green white and yellow wires; and between the red wire and
each of the green, white and yellow wires. All readings must be zero.

CAUTION

Observe the 3 inch minimum bending radius limitation on the fibers.
Do not bend them more sharply than at a 3-inch radius.

WARNING

The fiber optic cable and the power cable share the same conduit.
Before proceeding make absolutely sure that the AC power is turned
off at the your system power distribution. Then take an AC voltmeter
and measure the AC voltage between the black wire and each of the
green white and yellow wires; and between the red wire and each of
the green, white and yellow wires. All readings must be zero before
proceeding.
