• If you select the sound field other than “PLII

Movie,” “PLIIx Movie,” “PLIIz Height,” and
“Neo:6 Cinema” while the receiver is receiving
signals with a sampling frequency of 88.2 kHz and
higher, the signals will always be played back at
either 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz.

• “PLIIx Movie,” and “PLIIz Height” do not appear

depending on the speaker pattern you select.
– “PLIIx Movie” is available only when the

speaker pattern is set so that there are surround
back speaker(s).

– “PLIIz Height” is available only when the

speaker pattern is set so that there are front high
speakers.

• Some speakers may not output sound depending on

the sound field.

• If there is any noise present, the noise may be

different depending on the sound field you select.

• Even if you set the speaker pattern so that there are

both surround back speakers and front high
speakers, sound cannot be output from each pair of
speakers simultaneously.
When you select “PLIIz Height,” or the digital
input signal contains signals for the front high
channels, sound is output from the front high
speakers. In other cases, sound is output from the
surround back speakers.
If you always want to output sound from the front
high speakers, set the speaker pattern so that there
are no surround back speakers (page 45).
For example, when you select the “HD-D.C.S.”
sound field, sound is output from the surround back
speakers if 5/4.x is set (HD-D.C.S.
(STANDARD)), and sound is output from the front
high speakers if 5/2.x is set (HD-D.C.S. (FH)).
