When recording, you can control the aperture value to meet your recording purposes.

Shutter speed is automatically adjusted to be appropriate for the set aperture value.

Set mode dial to [ ]
Rotate the rear dial to set the aperture value

•Proper exposure is

not possible in the

range indicated in

red.

•When the aperture value is increased, the range of depth in focus expands, and

the picture shows up clearly from the position of the camera to the background.

•When the aperture value is reduced, the range of depth in focus shrinks, and the

background can get blurry.

Some aperture values are not selectable when using conversion lens. Depending on the zoom

position, some of the values cannot be selected.

When the picture is too bright or too dark or there is incorrect exposure, the numbers

for the aperture value and shutter speed are shown in red.

The brightness of the LCD monitor/Viewfinder and the recorded pictures may differ.

Check the pictures on the playback screen.

Set the aperture value to a higher number when the subject is too bright. Set the

aperture value to a lower number when the subject is too dim.

The lower limit of shutter speed differs depending on ISO Sensitivity.
