GPS/Sensor

Update by connecting this unit to a PC

Preparation:
Close all other running applications.

Select [Assist Data] on the [GPS/Sensor] menu, and then press [MENU/

SET].

Press

3/4 to select [Update], and then press [MENU/SET].

3/4 to select [Connect USB], and then press [MENU/SET].

Connect the PC and camera with the USB connection cable (supplied).

Check the directions of the connectors, and plug them straight in or unplug them straight out.
(Otherwise the connectors may bend out of shape which will cause a malfunction.) Do not
connect devices to incorrect terminals. Doing so may cause malfunction.

Do not use any other USB connection cables except the supplied one or a genuine
Panasonic USB connection cable (DMW-USBC1: optional).

Launch the “GPS Assist Tool” with the PC.

For Windows:
Double-click [GPSASIST.EXE] stored in the connected camera.
For Mac:

Double-click [GPSASIST.DMG] stored in the connected camera.

Double-click [GPSASIST].

Click [Update] on the screen of the PC.

Proceed with the steps according to messages appearing on the PC.
When the update is complete, click [Exit].

Do not disconnect the unit from the PC until the data has been updated.

Disconnect the unit from the PC and remove the USB connection cable.

You can also update the GPS assist data if [USB Mode]

(P59)

is set to [GPS assist data] in [Setup]

menu, when you connect this unit to a PC.
