[GPS Setting] is set to [OFF].
•
Radio waves from GPS satellites may not be received depending on the recording environment,
such as indoors or close to a building.
> It is recommended to use by holding the camera still for a while at an outdoor location clear to
the sky, with the antenna pointed upward.

[GPS Setting] is set to [ON].
> Set [GPS Setting] to [OFF] or [Airplane Mode] to [ON] when you turn the unit off onboard an
airplane or inside a hospital etc.

It may take a few minutes the first time you use it or when it has not been used for a while.
•
Positioning is performed within 2 minutes normally, but since the position of the GPS satellites
change, it may take longer depending on the location or environment of the recording.
Using GPS assist data can reduce the time required for positioning.

It will take longer for positioning in an environment where it is harder to receive the radio waves from
the GPS satellites.
•
Straight after this unit is turned on, or when the GPS icon is not set to [
], current location and
location name information stored in the unit may differ significantly.
•
It can be changed to a different candidate before recording a picture when [
] is displayed.

When a landmark etc. does not exist nearby or no information is registered in the database of the
unit, [---] is displayed.
> You can enter location names etc. with [Place-Name Edit] during the playback.
About the GPS
Positioning is not possible.
GPS status indicator is lit while this unit is turned off.
Positioning takes time.
Location name information is different from the place the picture was recorded in.
Location name information is not displayed.
