Other LDAP Login Authentication

If

Printgroove

needs to be configured to use another common type of LDAP server, such as

Open LDAP, choose Login Authentication from the pull-down menu.

Printgroove Login Authentication attempts to login to the LDAP server as a user. Users stored in
LDAP tree are allow to login with read-only access. If a user can login to the LDAP server, they are
then assumed to be valid Printgroove users. Enter these fields with your appropriate data:

Host Address: the hostname or IP Address of your LDAP Server
Port: the port on which the LDAP Server is “listening” – usually 389

User Name Field: the field in the LDAP tree which contains the user identification (e.g. uid =
joeuser)
User Tree Root: the branch where user accounts are stored. This is appended to the user
name when attempting to login (e.g. uid = joeuser, ou = people, dc = sec, dc = net)

This may be tested by clicking on the Test button, which will attempt to authenticate any LDAP
user (meaning it does not require a valid Printgroove account for the user.) Reset will reset the
fields back to the last Saved settings.
