3.8 Restore

The Restore menu option allows the Administrator to restore the

Printgroove

system information

from the backup files in the event of an emergency.

Note: A System Restore can only be done using a backup set of files as created in the previous
section.

In the Retrieve backup files from the window share: fields, enter the same information entered in the
Backup screen, including domain name, IP address, and shared directory.

To restore data to

Printgroove

, you must be at the same version as when the system was backed

up. Install the rescue CD, and the latest patch from Konica Minolta. Enter the Domain Name, IP
Address, and Shared Directory
you used to perform the Backup and place all of the segments that
were backed up onto the Windows Share.

Once that is complete, press the verify button. The system will connect to the Windows Share,
verify “write” access, and check the consistency of the backup segments. (This may take some
time.)

Once successful verification has completed, a Restore button will become available. Click Restore
to perform the backup starting in a few minutes. When completed, an e-mail will be sent to the user
identified in the Send To address field.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The backup set of files must be the ONLY files in the retrieval location. Make
sure no other files are in the Windows shared directory entered above.
