TROUBLESHOOTING

Operating Problems

The camera does not work.

The power is OFF.

[

Open the lens barrier to turn on the power. (P. 56)

The batteries are loaded incorrectly.

[

Reload the batteries correctly. (P. 48)

The batteries are exhausted.

[

Replace the batteries with new ones. (P. 48)

The batteries are temporarily unable to function.

[

Keep the batteries warm while using the camera.

No picture is taken when the Shutter release button is
pressed.

The flash has not finished charging or the previous picture
is being written into the SmartMedia.

Remove your finger from the Shutter release button

and wait until the Condition indicator LED stops blinking.

SmartMedia is full.

[

Replace the SmartMedia, erase unwanted pictures, or

transfer the entire picture data to a PC and erase the
data. (P. 122/124)

No SmartMedia is in the camera or it is protected.

Use a new SmartMedia.

The flash does not fire.

The flash mode is in the Off mode.

Set the flash mode to something other than the Off
