1.8 QUIK WELDER
™
Description
The JLG Quik Welder™ is designed to increase productiv-
ity by eliminating the need to move bulky tanks, welding
units or lead cables.
Safety Precautions
READ AND UNDERSTAND THE OPERATORS MANUAL FOR THE
SPECIFIC JLG MODEL BEING USED.
Preparation and Inspection
1. Check for any damage to the cables to the welder.
Make sure the bracket assembly is properly secured
to the rail assembly.
2. Check to make sure the machine is equipped with a
fire extinguisher and it is in it’s proper location.
3. Check to make sure the fire extinguisher is fully
charged and operational.
Operation
• Clamp the ground wire onto the material to be
welded.
• Be sure the leads are plugged into Quick
Welder™ box
• Remove the welder from the stowed position.
• Turn on the master switch.
• Position the welder to material to be welded and
squeeze the trigger to feed the wire to the mate-
rial.
• Speed of wire feed can be adjusted with the
speed selector knob located on the gun.
