Residual hazards - ECSxK capacitor module

Protection of persons
ƒ Before working on the capacitor module, check that no voltage is applied to the

power terminals
– because the power terminals +UG and -UG carry hazardous voltages for at least 3

minutes after mains disconnection at the supply module.

– because the power terminals +UG and -UG carry hazardous voltages when the

motor is stopped.

Protection of devices
ƒ All pluggable terminals must only be connected or disconnected when no voltage is

applied!

ƒ The power terminals +UG, -UG and PE are not protected against polarity reversal.

– Observe the polarity when wiring the power terminals!

ƒ Only when all devices of the interconnected power system are ready for operation,

power can be applied. Otherwise, the input current limitation may be destroyed.

Connecting and disconnecting the supply module cyclically to and from the mains can

overload and destroy the input current limitation of the capacitor module
ƒ if the relay or the 24 V supply are switched off.
ƒ if the capacitor module is not supplied via a supply module delivered by Lenze.
If the input current limitation is used, allow a break of at least 3 minutes between two

starting operations in the case of cyclic mains switching over a longer period of time!
