Removing the pulleys from the shaft ends
The mechanically-adjustable pulley (size 40) can be pulled off the shaft as follows (Fig. 7):
1. Unscrew the fixing bolt (1).
2. Remove the circlip/retaining ring (2) and take off the thrust ring (3).

Note!

To protect the thread of the center bore, place a disc over the end of the shaft

before applying the puller.

3. Mount the thrust ring (3) and the circlip/retaining ring (2).
4. Use a threaded rod (Tab. 3) to pull the adjustable pulley off the end of the shaft.

Stop!

For sizes 10 - 31, the mechanically-adjustable pulleys are removed with a

puller device (Fig. 8).
