2.0 MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL
DESCRIPTION
This section describes the mechanical and electrical characteristics of
the PC LinkInterface module.
2.1
Mechanical Description
The PC LinkInterface module is a printed circuit assembly that plugs
into an expansion slot of an ATĆcompatible personal computer. The
module consists of a printed circuit board. There are two status LEDs
on the rear of the module. Both the red LED and the green LED will
be turned on when the personal computer is powered up. They will
remain on during the software installation. After you run the batch file
to configure the module, both LEDs will be turned off. After the drop
number and drop depth are assigned, the green LED will be turned
on. There are two BNC connectors on the rear of the module that are
used for connecting the PC Linkmodule to the networkcoaxial cable.
There are six DIP switches on the module which are used to set the
port address. See figure 2.1 for an illustration of the module.
