Module Replacement
To replace a module that is connected using a tee adapter, use the
following procedure:
Step 1.
Stop any application tasks that may be running.
Step 2.
Disconnect the tee adapter from the PC Link module.
Step 3.
Turn your computer off. Disconnect the power cord.
Step 4.
Remove the cover on your computer.
Step 5.
Use a screwdriver to remove the screw from the bracket
holding the PC Link module and remove the module.
Step 6.
Take the new module out of its shipping container. Take it
out of the antiĆstatic bag, being careful not to touch the
connectors on the bottom of the board or any surface of
the board.
Step 7.
Set the DIP switches to match the port address set on the
old module.
Step 8.
Insert the module into your computer. Make sure the
goldĆstriped bottom edge of the board sits firmly in the
expansion slot groove, and that the bracket of the board is
seated properly. Secure the board with the bracket screw.
Step 9.
Replace the cover on your computer.
Step 10. Turn on power to your computer.
Step 11. ReĆconnect the tee adapter to the module.
