1. Launch the FactoryTalk Metrics LE Configuration Tool. Select Start > Programs >
Rockwell Software > FactoryTalk Metrics LE > FT Metrics LE
Configuration Tool
. The FactoryTalk Metrics LE Configuration tool opens
performance parameters using the data points in the UDT structures in the controller
programs.
L OADING THE PLANT MODEL FROM THE DATABASE
Connect to the FactoryTalk Metrics LE database you created earlier to populate the
configuration tool with the workcells from the plant model.
1. Click the Database tab:
2. Complete the following fields:
„
Data Source Name. Click the drop-down arrow to select the name of the DSN
(for example, FTMLEDSN) that you created for the SQL Server database. (See
“Creating a DSN database connection” on page 12.)
„
DB user name. Type the username of the SQL Server database login account (for
example, FTMLEUser).
„
DB user password. Type the password of the SQL Server database login account.
After you enter the
data source name
and user
information and
click Load from
database, the
table in the lower
part of the tab is
populated with
data from the
database.
