4. Complete the wizard to register the configuration. Be sure and select FactoryTalk
Metrics for the data collection. FactoryTalk Historian can also be selected for data
collection, but it is not used by FactoryTalk Metrics LE.
5. Close the RSBizWare Service Console.
Configuring FactoryTalk Metrics
Return to the FactoryTalk Metrics LE Configuration Tool to configure the performance
parameters for the FactoryTalk Metrics LE workcells. The configuration tool creates an
XML file for configuring FactoryTalk Metrics and then imports that configuration file.
1. From the FactoryTalk Metrics LE Configuration Tool, click the FT Metrics tab:
2. In the FT Metrics XML file field, click the browse button to select the location where
you want to create the FactoryTalk Metrics XML file.
Specify where you want to
create the FactoryTalk
Metrics XML file. Then
specify the RSBizWare login
(which must have FTMetrics
Authoring privileges),
password, and FactoryTalk
Transaction Manager
configuration.
By default, all custom analog
and custom digital events
that are part of the default
FactoryTalk Metrics LE
configuration are enabled
after they are imported into
FactoryTalk Metrics.
To disable the imported
events, select Disable
events.
