Procedure for Setting up a
Mechanical Pile Feeder
1. Place a strip of paper approximately 2”
wide and at least 11” long under the
marble holder and against the register side
guide. Move the strip of paper toward the
feeder keeping it against the side guide
until it is a couple of inches past the blow
bar into the feeder.
2. Set the left-hand vertical (angle type) pile
guide one-eighth to one quarter of an inch
closer to the center of the feeder than the
strip of paper is to the register.
3. Place a sheet of the stock to be
folded on the pile feed table, using
the corner guide to locate the sheet
on the feed table.
4. Space the remainder of the vertical
front pile guides across the width of
the sheet. Be sure not to cover any of
the openings on the blow bar.
5. Two paper support clips are provided to help support
the paper over the left-hand corner notch in the feed
table.
