Primary Seed Hose Routing

Refer to Figure 29, Figure 30 and Figure 31
Hoses will be connected at the tower end, routed to the
meter box, and cut to length.

Review and plan each hose route. ADC2350 and
ADC2220/1150 air carts have different numbers of seed
outlets.

Connect each tower to its corresponding outlet on the
cart’s rear meter box. The ADC2350 seed meter will
have one unused outlet capped.

Start with tower 3.

1.

Mark the expected cut location on the hose, but do
not cut it prior to routing.

2.

Route hose over implement frame. Run hoses for
wing towers through hose holders shown.

3.

Slide band clamp over implement end of hose, then
slide hose at least two inches onto tower inlet. Allow
enough hose slack so that implement raising,
lowering, folding and unfolding will not pinch or bind
hose.

4.

Using a hacksaw, cut hose so it will slide at least two
inches (5.1 cm) onto meter outlet.

5.

Slide band clamp over cart end of hose, then slide
hose onto meter outlet. Install clamp so it will not
interfere with other hoses, clamps or meter-door
handles.

6.

Repeat step 1 through step 5 for remaining towers,
working toward the outside.

7.

Secure all hoses onto implement frame using
provided cable ties. Be sure hoses will not be
damaged during folding. unfolding and link flexing
while running over irregular ground.
