Install Seed Tubes
Seed tube installation is different for drills with and
without the Fertilizer option. With Fertilizer installed, the
row unit frame opening behind the main seed tube is
occupied by the fertilizer drop tube. A side delivery tube
is used for Small Seeds in that case.
117. If Fertilizer is installed, skip to step 121 on page 28.
Delivery Tube - No Fertilizer
Start with the left-most row unit.
Refer to Figure 44
118. Select one each new:
123-939H SMALL SEEDS TUBE WELDMENT
and two new:
801-002C SCREW HEX SLT10-16X1/2P.THD CT
119. Insert the long end of the delivery tube through
the row unit frame hole in between the T-handle
slot and the main seed tube hole. The bent lower
section of the delivery tube angles forward. Secure
tube with two screws
.
Repeat step 118 and step 119 for each row unit.
120. Skip to step 124.
Delivery Tube - with Fertilizer
Start with the left-most row unit.
Refer to Figure 45, which does not depict the fertilizer delivery
tube in the hole.
121. Select one each new:
133-128H SGS SIDE DELIVERY TUBE
802-427C HFS 3/8-16X3 3/4 SPTHD
803-209C NUT FLANGE LOCK 3/8-16 PLT
122. Orient the side tube weldment with the delivery tube
to the left of the row unit, and the mount ahead of
the fertilizer delivery tube hole
.
123. Insert a bolt through mount and the row unit
frame at hole . Secure with lock nut .
Repeat step 121 through step 123 for each row unit.
