Install Disc Assemblies

Note: If possible, move the drill to field conditions for the

remaining steps. This prevents disc damage (from
unfolding on pavement) and allows most accurate
marker extension setting.

Install Disc Assemblies

90. Extend one marker side.

Refer to Figure 30
91. Select one each new:

113-794D MARKER EXTENSION TUBE

806-110C U-BOLT 5/8-11 X 3 1/32 X 4 1/2

and two sets new:

804-022C WASHER LOCK SPRING 5/8 PLT

803-021C NUT HEX 5/8-11 PLT

Insert the extension tube

, bolt holes to the

outside and vertical, inside the marker arm third
section (

or

). Secure with U-bolt

, lock

washers

and nuts

.

92. Select one new:

113-025S MARKER DISC ASSEMBLY

and one each new:

802-413C HHCS 1/2-13X4 1/2 GR5

804-015C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/2 PLT

803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT

Unless there is a specific customer preference,
orient the disc spindle weldment

with the spindle

to the front. Align both sets of holes with the holes in
the end of the marker extension tube

. Insert the

bolt

through the round holes of the weldment.

Loosely secure with lock washer

and nut

.

93. Select one each new:

802-413C HHCS 1/2-13X4 1/2 GR5

804-015C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/2 PLT

803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT

and two new:

804-017C WASHER FLAT 1/2 USS PLT

Unless there is a specific customer preference,
orient the disc spindle weldment

parallel to the

extension tube

. Add a flat washer

to the

bolt

. Insert the bolt through the slotted hole of

the spindle. Add a second flat washer

, a lock

washer

and nut

. Secure both sets of

fasteners.

94. Retract the marker. Extend the other side. Repeat

step 31 through step 93 for the other wing of the drill.

Sharp Object Hazard:
Handle the marker discs with care. The edges are sharp.
Place sawhorses or other barriers over the installed discs,
until ready to fold, to protect persons in the area.
