Range Sprockets
Refer to Figure 4
3.
Obtain the sprocket pairing from the Seed Rate
Chart.
4.
Loosen the bolts on the idlers
, and slide the idlers
away from the chain.
5.
Remove the lynch pins from both the driving
, and
driven
shafts.
6.
Exchange the existing low range sprockets for those
called out in the chart.
7.
Slide the idlers into the chain, and tighten the bolts,
allowing
1
⁄
4
inch (6 mm) slack in the longest chain
span.
8.
Store the alternate sprockets and re-pin.
9.
Make sure both ground drives are configured
identically.
Transmission Sprockets
Refer to Figure 5
10. Obtain the initial sprocket pairing from the Seed Rate
Chart.
11. Unscrew the knob
from the guard
. Remove the
guard.
12. Loosen the bolt on the forward idler
, and slide the
idler to the bottom of its track.
13. Remove the lynch pins from both the driving
, and
driven
shafts.
14. As needed, exchange the existing sprocket pair for
the new pair.
15. Slide the idler
up, and tighten its bolt, allowing
1
⁄
4
inch (6 mm) slack in the longest chain span.
16. Store the removed and any loose sprockets on the
sprocket trees
17. Re-install the guard, securing it with the knob.
18. Switch the seed monitor from the
Setup/Configuration mode to Operate mode. Load
seed. Move the planter to the field.
