Adjusting Cutting Tip Height

1. Remove the spindle cover.

2. Loosen the spindle hexagonal screw as indicted in diagram 1.

3. Adjust the height by moving the shaft up or down as required.

4. Tighten the screw after adjusted.

If the cutting tip is not making contact with the cutting surface, the cutting tip needs to be

lowered. If cutting results in the cutting surface being indented, the cutting tip needs to be
raised.

If the shaft will not go any further but the cutting tip still needs to be raised, the carriage needs to
adjusted. Use the following procedure to adjust the cutting carriage.

Adjusting the Cutting Carriage

1. Remove the spindle belt in diagram 2 (previous).

2. Unscrew the ground cable connecting the cutting head to the mounting plate.

3. Remove the spindle cutting assembly by removing the two mounting screws. See

diagram 3.

4. Undo the two hexagonal screws holding the carriage cover, remove cover See diagram 3.

5. Loosen the 4 screws fixing the carriage. See diagram 4.

6. Adjust the height as required.

7. Tighten the 4 screws.

8. Place the carriage cover back into position.

9. Mount the cutting assembly using the two screws.

10. Replace the grounding cable, belt, and spindle cover.
