Faxing

(A) Date and time of transmission
(B) Your fax/telephone number
You can select <FAX> or <TEL> to be printed in front of the number
(See

“TX TERMINAL ID” on page 94

).

(C) Your name is printed.
(D) The recipient’s name is printed when sending from coded speed dialing.
(E) Page number

Entering the Date and Time

Press [FAX], then press [Menu].

Use [

] or [

] to select <USER SETTINGS>.

Press [OK] two times.

Use the numeric buttons to enter the date and time (in 24-hour format).

Enter only the last two digits of the year.

Press [OK].

Press [Stop/Reset].

For black & white sending, you can set the sender information to print inside or outside the
image area (See

“TX TERMINAL ID” on page 94

).

z

For color sending, the sender information is printed inside the image area, and the
DESTINATION ID is not printed.

You can enter the sender information from the Operation Panel (See

“Registering Your

Fax/Telephone Number and Name (Sender Information)” on page 64

).

Three formats of date are available. For details on the date format settings, see

“DATE

DISPLAY” on page 93

.

When your machine is connected to a computer with the MP driver installed, even if the
date and time are entered from the Operation Panel of the machine, the date and time will
be read from your computer every time you start the computer, turn the machine on, or
disconnect and connect the USB cable.
When using your machine connecting to your computer, set the date and time on your
computer precisely.

z

The date and time will be reset when you disconnect the power cord or there is a power
failure. In this case, you can set it again on the machine. Alternatively, it can be read from
your computer and set on the machine by connecting the machine to your computer with
the MP driver installed.

If you misentered the date and time, use [ ] or [ ] to move the cursor under the number
to enter the correct number.
