Direct Print Related Messages
The following messages may appear on the camcorder screen. On printers equipped with
an operation panel or printers that can be connected to a TV, an error number or
message appears on the panel or TV monitor. Refer to the printer’s instruction manual to
find out how to solve the problems corresponding to each error number or message.
CARD FULL No remaining capacity on the memory card. Replace with another
card or erase images. –
NAMING ERROR The folder and file numbers have reached their maximum value. –
THIS IMAGE CANNOT
BE RECORDED Some analog images cannot be recorded on the memory card
depending on the signal. –
UNIDENTIFIABLE
IMAGE The image was not recorded with JPEG compression, or was
recorded with a compression incompatible with the camcorder, or
the image file is corrupted. –
PRINT ORDER
ERROR
You attempted to set more than 998 still images in the print order. 102
TRANSFER ORDER
ERROR
You attempted to set more than 998 transfer orders. 109
CANNOT TRANSFER! You attempted to transfer a movie file as wallpaper. 107
TOO MANY STILL
IMAGES DISCONNECT
USB CABLE Disconnect the USB cable, decrease the number of still images on
the memory card to less than 1800. If a dialog appeared on the
computer screen, close it. Reconnect the USB cable. –
Message Explanation
PAPER ERROR There is a problem with the paper. The paper is not correctly inserted,
the wrong paper size is inserted, or the ink cannot be used with the
selected paper.
NO PAPER There is no paper. If the printer is equipped with a photo paper cassette,
specify the paper feed location using the Paper Feed switch.
PAPER JAM The paper jammed during printing. Select [STOP] to cancel printing.
After removing the paper, set some paper again and press the resume
button on the printer.
INK ERROR Refer to the printer’s manual to solve the problem.
NO INK The ink cartridge is not inserted or is out of ink. Refer to the printer’s
manual to solve the problem.
LOW INK LEVEL The ink cartridge needs to be replaced soon. Select [CONTINUE] to
restart printing.
WASTE TANK FULL Waste tank is full. Select [CONTINUE] to restart printing. Consult your
dealer or a Canon Service Center listed in the Contact List provided with
the printer or the printer manual to replace the waste tank (waste ink
absorber).
FILE ERROR You attempted to print an image that was recorded with another
camcorder, with a different compression, or was edited on a computer.
CANNOT PRINT! You attempted to print an image that was recorded with another
camcorder, with a different compression, or was edited on a computer.
COULD NOT PRINT X
IMAGES You attempted to use the print order settings to print X images that were
recorded with another camcorder, with a different compression or were
edited on a computer.
SET PRINT ORDER No still images on the memory card have been marked with a print
order.
