About Your System

System Messages

System messages appear on the screen to notify you of a possible problem
with the system. Table 1-6 lists the system messages that can occur and the
probable cause and corrective action for each message.

NOTE:

If you receive a system message that is not listed in Table 1-6, check the

documentation for the application that is running when the message appears or the
operating system's documentation for an explanation of the message and
recommended action.

CAUTION:

Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You

should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your
product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and
support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered
by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the
product.
