Removing the Base Cover

 

1.

Ensure that the computer is turned off.

 

2.

Remove the battery (see

Before Working Inside Your Computer

).


 

3.

Loosen the three captive screws on the base cover and lift the base cover off the computer at an angle as shown in the figure.

 

Replacing the Base Cover

 

1.

Align the tabs on the base cover to the bottom of the computer.

 

2.

Tighten the three captive screws on the base cover.

 

3.

Slide the battery into the battery bay until it clicks into place.
