Removing the Subwoofer Assembly

 

1.

Follow the instructions in

Before You Begin

.


 

2.

Remove the optical drive (see

Removing the Optical Drive

).


 

3.

Disconnect the AC adapter connector cable, USB cable, fan cable, and the subwoofer cable from their respective connectors on the system board.

 

4.

Remove the six screws that secure the system board to the computer base.

 

5.

Lift the system board off the computer base.

 

6.

Release the subwoofer assembly cable from the routing guides.

 

7.

Remove the three screws on the subwoofer assembly.

 

8.

Lift the subwoofer assembly from the computer base.

 

Replacing the Subwoofer Assembly

 

1.

Follow the instructions in

Before You Begin

.


 

2.

Place the subwoofer assembly on the computer base and replace the three screws that secure the subwoofer assembly to the computer base.

 

3.

Route the subwoofer assembly cable along the routing guides.

 

4.

Replace the system board on the computer base.
