Your system contains three fan assemblies. The three assemblies provide cooling for the processor, memory modules, and expansion cards.

 

Removing a Fan Assembly

 

1.

 

Open the system. See "

Opening the System

" in Troubleshooting Your System."

Lift the fan assemblies out of the chassis carefully, making sure that the connector disconnects from the system board. See

Figure 6

If you are removing the processor fan assembly, remove the two cooling shrouds before removing the fan assembly. See

Figure 6

the cooling shrouds.
