Use the 4 Flash ON and the r~~Ti underwater macro
modes for underwater photography.
Underwater photography is affected by distance, lighting,
and the clarity of the water. Refer to the above table to
determine which modes are best for taking pictures in
special conditions.

activated underwater, the 1 second release lock will
operate causing the camera to shake
X": If the clarity of the water is low because of plankton or
other particles, use the underwater macro mode
to take a close up picture, or take a picture with the
Flash OFF mode.
x=: Since the shutter speed is slow in dark areas, use the
underwater macro mode to get close the subject
• If the clarity of the water decreases, the flash distance
range also decreases.
