Preparing to send a document
Sending methods
■ Manual Sending (See pg.56)
II you would like to speak with the other party before sending a ftix to them, use
Manual .Sending. When sending manually, you dial, eoiuerse normally and then press

If yoitr tioeument has ;i large number of pages, you may sometimes get a MF-iMORY
R 'Ll, error. To avoid this, use Direet Sending.
To send direetlw load the doeument, dial the fax number ;ind press |ST.ART/COPY'|.
■ Memory Sending (See pg.59)
If )ou do not vvanl to wait for your document to be scanned page by page during
senditig (Dneet Sending), use .Memory Sending. Memory Sending scans the docu
ment into memory, then dials and sends the stored image, letting you take away the
orieinal mimediatelv after scanning.
Dialing methods
There are ser enil methods for dialing the receiving party's number, depending on how
y our F.AXPlIONFi is set up.
Manual Dialing
: Dial the recipient's fax number using the numeric buttons.
Ont'-touch Speed Dialing
: Dial a recipient's fax number that has been assigned to a
One-touch Speed Dialing button by simply pressing the corresponding One-touch
Speed Ditiling button. (See pg..^7)
Coded .Speed Dialing
; Dial a reeipient's fax number that has Ireen assigned to a
Coded Speed Dialing code by pressing [CODED DIAL/DIRECTORYI and the 2-digit
code assignetl to the number. (See pg.57)
Directory Dialing
: Dial a reeipient's fax number that has been assigned to a One-
loueh Speed Dialing button or a Coded Speed Dialing code by pressing |CODEL)
DlAl./DIRHCTORY I twice and searching for the number alphabetically. (See pg. ,78)
