5.0 Operation
This instrument is shipped with a three-wire
power cable, in accordance with international
safety standards. When connected to an
appropriate power line outlet, this cable
grounds the instrument cabinet.
Back Panel
Do not block the power supply fan. It must
remain unobstructed at all times.

The back panel of the HI-6100 Field Monitor includes:
 Dedicated connection ports —IEEE-488 GPIB, RS-232, and Update.
 Device label locations —Place the warning label shipped with each
probe in these marked locations.
 Device Interface —Four interface slots (Channel 1, Channel 2,
Channel 3, Channel 4) to accommodate up to four probes.
