The pedestal/height drive power box has two power output sockets and a single power inlet
socket that is connected to the studio power supply. The Head power output socket is used to
supply power to the head. Note that this socket is controlled by the pedestal/height drive and is
therefore switched, fused and isolated on activation of the pedestal’s Emergency Stop button.

There are two identical Ethernet ports on the pedestal/height drive power box. It is recommended
that the port on the left is used to connect the pedestal to the control panel via an Ethernet node
and the port on the right is used to provide the Ethernet data communications to the head.

Connecting the head to an FBH-175 height drive

When the head is mounted onto a manual only pedestal or heavy-duty tripod, a Fusion height
drive (e.g. FBH-175) can be installed to remotely operate the elevation of the head from a Vinten
Radamec Control Panel.

When the head is mounted onto a Fusion FBH-175 height drive, use the Head communication
cable supplied to connect power and Ethernet from the height drive to the head (Fig. 9).

The height drive has two power output sockets and a single power inlet socket that is connected
to the studio supply. The Head power output socket is used to supply power to the head. Note
that this socket is controlled by the height drive and therefore it is switched, fused and isolated on
activation of the height drive’s Stop button.
