Maintenance

Checking the balance

It is recommended that the balance of the head is checked at least once a month to ensure proper
operation and to reduce excessive wear on the drive train and potential overheating. An
unbalanced load may also affect servo operation and responsiveness. Unless the mounting
screws are loose, the balance should only change when the camera is moved back and forth, or
if the payload has been changed.

Routine maintenance

During use, check the following:

Check the data communication with the control panel. Refit cables if necessary.

Check lens zoom and focus communication with the head. Refit cables if necessary.

Once a month check the balance of the head (see ‘Checking the balance’ above).
Rebalance as necessary.

No further routine maintenance is required.

Cleaning

We encourage regular cleaning of the product. During normal use the only cleaning required
should be a regular wipe over with a lint-free cloth. Cover the head when not in use. Dirt
accumulated during storage or periods of non-use may be removed with a vacuum cleaner.

Particular attention should be paid to the four-hole mounting and camera mounting faces, along
with all the connection ports.

WARNING!
ELECTRIC SHOCK
Do not remove the cover. No user-serviceable parts inside.
Refer to qualified service personnel.

CAUTION!

1. Do not use oil or grease on any exposed part of the product. This is unnecessary

and traps dirt which acts as an abrasive.

2. Do not use solvent- or oil-based cleaners, abrasives or wire brushes to remove

accumulations of dirt as these damage the protective surfaces. To clean
mechanical surfaces, use only detergent-based cleaners.

3. External electrical connection ports should only be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
