Recommended Tools and Supplies
You need the following tools and supplies to install the system in a four-post гаек eabinet:

A #2 Phillips serewdriver
•
Masking tape or a felt-tip pen, for use in marking the mounting holes to be used
Installation Tasks
Installing a raek kit involves the following tasks:

Removing the raek doors

Marking the raek

Installing the slide assemblies in the raek

Installing the inner rails
5
Installing the system in the raek
6
Installing the eable-management arm
7
Replaeing the raek doors
^ NOTE:
The procedures that follow apply to both Dell rack cabinets and rack cabinets not
manufactured by Dell unless Identified as specific to one or the other.
Removing the Rack Doors
See the proeedures for removing doors in the doeumentation provided with your Dell 24-U
or 42-U raek eabinet. If you have a raek eabinet not manufaetured by Dell, refer to the
manufaeturers doeumentation for removing the doors.
/t\ CAUTION: Because of the size and weight of the rack cabinet doors, never
attempt to remove or install them by yourself.
CAUTION: Store the two doors where they will not injure someone if the doors
accidently fall over.
