The polling feature allows you to receive a document from another compatible machine where you pay for the
call. This saves the sending party the call charges.
Receive polliog__________________________________________
To place a call and recover a document from another machine, follow the steps below. Make sure that no
documents have been fed into your unit and that the other party’s machine is ready for your call.

until the following is displayed.

[START/COPY/SETl.

Enter the phone number by using regular dialing,
one-touch dialing, speed dialing or the electronic
telephone directory (see page 29).
Press
[START/COPY/SET].
Traosmit polliog
A document stored in your unit can be recovered by another party’s machine.
To let other machines retrieve documents loaded on your unit, proceed as follows.

Insert the documents FACE DOWN.
Press
[MENU]
until the following is displayed.
Display:

(START/COPY/SETl
MODE=OFF
[ VA]
Press (g) or (A) to select “ON”.

Note:
oThis feature will not work when the unit is set to the TEL mode.
oThe caller pays for the document transmission.
©When delayed transmission (see the next page) is set to ON, transmit polling is not available.
