Unlock the other tab by pressing horizontally
(©) and vertically ((2)), and partially pull down
the color cover
(CD)
in the same way.
Completely remove the cover from the handset.

Connect the battery and close the battery cover {p. 76). Then insert
the handset in the cradle until the ringer/charge indicator lights and a
beep sounds.
