Axle Assemblies
NOTE: Units with steerable drive wheels have a split axle
to allow each wheel to be driven independently of
each other. See Figure 3.1.
To remove the axles:
1. With the engine stopped and allowed to cool, discon-
nect the spark plug wire and ground it to the engine.
2. Drain the fuel into an approved container.
3. Carefully tip the snow thrower forward, so it rests on
the auger housing opening.
4. Remove the bottom access panel. See Figure 3.2.
