NOTE: On 2-Wheel Track units:
• Remove the six nuts that hold the Auger Hous-
ing to the transmission box using a 1/2” wrench.
See Figure 7.8.
8. Separate the Auger Housing from the transmission
box.
9. Disconnect the Auger Control Cable from the Idler
Bracket.
10. Remove the Auger Gear Box Assembly by following
the procedures described in the Auger Assemblies
removal section of this chapter.
11. Remove the four nuts and bolts that hold the Chute
Collar to the Auger Housing using a 7/16” wrench.
See Figure 7.9.
12. Unhook the Idler Bracket Return Spring.
13. Remove the Idler Bracket using a 15/16” wrench
and a 9/16” wrench.
14. Remove the Belt Guide (shoulder bolt), using a 3/4”
wrench and a 9/16” wrench.
15. Remove the Chute Clean-out Tool holder, by
squeezing the split barbs together while pushing
them out of the housing. See Figure 7.10.
16. Install the Auger Housing by following the previous
steps in reverse order.
17. Test run the snow thrower in a safe area before
returning it to service.
