Chapter 8- TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

8.1 INTRODUCTION

This troubleshooting guide is intended to aid

service/maintenance personnel in isolating the

cause of a fault in a KC1000 Boiler. The trouble-

shooting procedures contained herein are

presented in tabular form on the following

pages. These tables are comprised of three

columns labeled: Fault Indication, Probable

Cause and Corrective Action. The numbered

items in the Probable Cause and Corrective

Action columns correspond to each other. For

example, Probable Cause No. 1 corresponds to

Corrective Action No. 1, etc.

When a fault occurs in the KC1000 Boiler,

proceed as follows to isolate and correct the

fault:

1. Observe the fault messages displayed in the

Control Box display.

2. Refer to the Fault Indication column in the

following troubleshooting tables and locate

the Fault that best describes the existing

conditions.

3. Proceed to the Probable Cause column and

start with the first item (1) listed for the Fault

Indication.

4. Perform the checks and procedures listed in

the Corrective Action column for the first

Probable Cause candidate.

5. Continue checking each additional Probable

Cause for the existing fault until the fault is

corrected.

6. If the fault cannot be corrected using the

information provided in the Troubleshooting

Tables, please contact your local AERCO

Representative.
